WRRC Club Apparel Show your pride and promote WRRC and Amateur Radio. You can purchase WRRC Apparel by filling out an an Order Entry Form and sending it to Darrel Daley, K1KU per the instructions on the form. Events Coming Up - Mark your calendars While we are a volunteer organization, one of our pride and joy experiences is to help out at local special events with radio communications. Make sure you check out our Meeting and Event Times page for a full listing of events we offer radio communication assistance to. We also hope you check out our meeting listings for 2012 and attend a meeting. You do not have to be a member to attend, our doors are open to everyone. Give us a try and see what we are doing for our local communities. Regular Monthly Meeting We invite you to come and join us at our next meeting which will be held in the EMT Training Center at Grace Cottage Hospital at 7 PM on January 10, 2012. Our program will feature a presentation on PC Security. Remember, our talk in frequency is 146.52 Mhz for directions or to chat. Saturday Luncheon Meeting - DATE CHANGE We also invite you to come and join us at our next WRRC Luncheon Meeting which will be held on January 21, 2012 at the PanAsian Restaurant at 11:30 AM. Every Monday, we hold our 2 Meter Net on the Marlboro, VT Repeater located on 147.015 with a positive offset and a 100 hz tone at 1930 (L). Please join us for activities that help us prepare for emergencies. Maybe you can setup a new rig, antenna, or anything that will help out our communications excel. Test it out and let's see if it works. Here is our 2 Meter Net Control Schedule Got 10 meter capabilities? Starting Jan 15, 2012, join us every Sunday evening at 1930 hrs (L) as we hold our 10 Meter Net on 28.425 Mhz +/- 5 and depending upon conditions. Check in to test it out and let's see if it works. Our Nets are open to everyone. Extra!! Extra!! Learn more about it!!! General License Class Starting Soon!! The West River Radio Club offers those interested in becoming a newly licensed amateur radio operator and existing amateur radio operators, license classes to obtain your first license or to help you upgrade your existing license. Our VE team will be your Elmer's and assist you to the goal you have in mind. The cost of the class includes your class time, handouts, and the FCC Licensing test. Be ready to learn! To learn more about the West River Radio Club and Amateur Radio, go to the "About Us" section of our web site. As a further thought, our membership dues are very reasonable!!! Our rates are $10.00 for the first member of the immediate family, and just $5.00 for each additional family member. We also encourage you to bring along a friend or someone who is interested in radio communications. See who is a member of the West River Radio Club in our club Roster. We currently have 46 members of which 6 are auxiliary members! We are growing group of folks and remember, if you are a licensed operator, we hope you will consider joining us to provide help for Windham County and the surrounding areas. If you are interested in joining us, please bring in your completed application to our next meeting or mail it to the address on the form. Even if you do not have a license, but are interested in amateur radio, emergency communications or helping the public, we invite you to come to one of our meetings and join in on the fun.
